On Mammon and the Path to Wealth

Many people come to occult practice with a single desire — to get rich.
And Mammon seems like the obvious answer. Perform a ritual, summon the spirit of wealth, and the money will come. This idea draws thousands of people in, and it is precisely here that the first and most dangerous mistake is made.
Mammon is not a genie in a bottle.
Those who approach him with naive expectations of quick results risk receiving something entirely different from what they anticipated. Or nothing at all. Or exactly what they asked for — but at a cost that leaves them questioning whether it was ever worth it.
Working with Mammon is a path. And that path has a strict sequence.
Who Is Mammon
In the ancient traditions of ceremonial magic and demonology, Mammon is not simply a symbol of greed. He is an intelligent spirit — one connected to the currents of earthly power, governing hidden treasures, the mechanics of accumulation, and the invisible channels through which wealth moves in the human world.
Among practitioners, he is often described as remarkably responsive. But that responsiveness is precisely what makes him dangerous to the unprepared.
Mammon is not a spirit for reckless curiosity.
Many grimoires warn plainly: those who seek wealth without wisdom may receive exactly what they asked for — but the current of Mammon has a way of arriving through circumstances so severe that the practitioner later wonders whether the reward justified the cost.
Sudden loss that forces a complete reinvention. A crisis that dismantles an entire life before rebuilding it differently. Wealth may come. But Mammon often chooses the road himself.
Step One — Building the Altar
Everything begins with physical space.
Prepare a small altar in your home. Cover it with a dark cloth bearing the Sigil of Mammon — the sigil serves as the focal point through which intention is directed.
Place upon it:
- A candle
- Several coins
- Objects associated with gold or material wealth
- Paper currency or symbolic tokens of prosperity
These objects act as anchors for the current of material force. Over time, the altar becomes a place where intention accumulates — where the presence of Mammon grows easier to sense with each visit.
Do not rush past this stage. Let the space become alive before moving forward.
Step Two — Offerings
Before you speak, give.
Offerings are the first language of communication with Mammon. Not payment. Not a bribe. A gesture of recognition and respect — a signal that you have arrived with something to bring, not merely something to demand.
Appropriate offerings include:
- Wine or strong spirits
- Incense
- Bread or sweets
- Coins or small metal objects
Leave them at the altar regularly. This simple, repeated act already begins to build the relationship.
Step Three — The Invocation
When the altar is prepared and the offering has been placed, light the candle and fix your gaze on the sigil.
Speak slowly and with calm:
Mammon, keeper of the hidden treasures of the earth,Lord of the currents of wealth and power,I call upon You through Your ancient seal.Let this place become a place of Your presence.Let the currents of prosperity flow through this altar.I approach not in haste, but with patience and respect.Mammon, hear this call and receive this offering.Hail Mammon.
Remain in silence for several minutes. Observe any sensations, impressions, or shifts in the atmosphere around you. Do not analyze. Simply observe what arises.
Step Four — The Table Ritual
Only once the connection has been established should you move to the next stage.
The Table Ritual is a practice in which food and drink are symbolically shared at the altar. It is one of the gentlest and yet most effective ways to deepen contact — a demonstration that you are here for genuine work, not a one-time transaction.

Perform this ritual several times. Feel the rhythm of it. Only then should you move forward.
Step Five — Serious Requests
Only after completing every prior stage is it appropriate to bring forward specific requests — for wealth, opportunity, or material goals.
By this point, you are no longer a stranger who arrived demanding something. You are a practitioner who has built a relationship, demonstrated patience, and earned the right to a real conversation.
And it is then that Mammon listens differently.
Patience is not weakness.
In work with Mammon, patience is the only language he respects.
